MISSIONS TO INDIA REPORT
2006 SUMMER REVIEW
Greetings in the Lord! I would also like to share with you some of the marvelous details of what God has been doing in India, during our past 6 months there.
Our team of seven missionaries was able to see the success of the Lord in four specific areas: Training, Preaching, Serving the Poor, and Establishing the Healing Rooms.
As a part of Training, a Two Day Pastor's Conference was held in Hyderabad (S. India) with Pastor Carol Koch of Christ Triumphant Church in Kansas City leading. 180 Pastors were served!
Teams were sent out to Preach in S. Indian churches, Mumbai, and village churches. A Women's Conference was also held where about 200 women gathered.
Our work with the Poor included specific ministry to Lepers, Orphans, and Prostitutes. A Leper colony of approximately 350 families (2,000 people) was provided with rice and blankets donated by CTC. These Lepers will forever be banished to these colonies because of the disfiguration of their hands and feet, but we were able to take the gospel to where they were! We were also able to share the Word with 80 Orphans, with every one receiving a Hindi Bible. The team spent much time with them teaching about the Love of God and Hearing His Voice. Furthermore, through a Prostitute Recovery Home called "RACE," the team was able to serve recovering child prostitutes from the ages of 12 to 18. These little children are expected to "service" over 24 clients per night, and are abandoned by their employers after they are "spent out" at 20 years old, leaving many to die of AIDS.
Finally, we were able to see much success establishing the IAHR "India Healing Rooms" and "National Training Center." On top of the support we received from the USA through Spokane, WA; San Diego, CA; and Kansas City, MO; we were also joined by National Aglow President of India, Mernia Netto. Out of this support and much prayer, the Healing Rooms began to emerge, first with a teaching school on Healing given by the current Directors of the Healing Rooms-Pastor Abraham and Sheila Sekhar. Then, a Team came from the US and training began through both Indian and Americans.
Following this, remodeling of the Healing Rooms began. After, the IAHR Conference took place in Mumbai through Region 8 Directors, Dan and Sarah Shepler of San Diego, CA. 32 Pastors and 36 Leaders attended the training conference from 5 states of India. Intercession was then officially established by Aglow. It was at this point, the India Healing Rooms officially opened, and a Board was formed for purposes of Biblical oversight. Evangelism was established as well as a Donor Stream from the US with accountability and legality. Slum Healing Rooms were established and rooms were opened to serve both languages-Hindi and English. Finally, Teaching and Training was established bi-monthly for the Healing Room's Team. This ministry is a Move of God and not man, even as people are involved. It was established in IHAR order, with a banner of Unity and Love. The Holy Spirit is free to move, and it is primarily run with Indian Nationals-Praise His Name!!
Once again, thank you for your support in all that God has done through our efforts in India!
Warmly,
