ICL WORLD MISSIONS REPORT
UGANDA - SEPTEMBER 2004
JODIE FELDMAN & MERI CROULEY
"Prepare the Way for the Lord"
Kampala, Uganda
Saturday - September 18, 2004
We arrive in Uganda and have a divine appointment at the Entebbe Airport with two evangelists from Bethel Assembly of God Church in Virginia, USA. We are invited to attend their crusade.
Two Mbale pastors (Pastor Luke and Pastor Patrick), Jodie and Meri attend this evangelistic meeting at Calvary Temple A/G Church in Kampala on Saturday Night.
Sunday - September 19, 2004
All of us who went to the crusade at Calvary Temple were invited back the next day to attend the Sunday morning service. Jodie and Meri were invited to bring a message of greeting to the entire congregation.
Later, we were all invited to attend a luncheon at the home of the senior pastor, Pastor Steven Sebylas. Also in attendance were the pastors from Virginia we initially met at the airport, who brought forth the messages for the revival at Calvary Temple.
At the pastors' luncheon at Pastor Steven's home after the main service we learned some interesting facts.
1. Pastor Steven holds crusades around Africa for 40,000-plus people at a time.
2. He has established a large church in Kampala, Uganda.
3. The church has a live Bible school on campus.
4. He has 17 orphans living at his personal home. (We see this as outstanding apostolic work of the Lord).
Sunday PM
We met with Dan Peters who is establishing radio broadcast stations in Uganda, Sudan and Ghana. This is especially important for Meri Crouley since she has a broadcast and television ministry.
This was a very fruitful meeting that took place at the Hotel Africana. In attendance were Dan Peters, Pastor Steven Sebyla, Pastor Luke (radio broadcaster - Mbale FM), Pastor Patrick Bwayo (Mbale A/G Church), Meri Crouley, and Margaret (Dan Peters' office manager). The meeting was very significant because it brought forth a meeting of the minds and introductions of radio co-laborers in Uganda and the USA.
Monday - September 20th, 2004
A group of us met with Dan Peters and toured his radio station near Kampala. Meri filmed Dan Peters and also got some great footage of the radio station, etc. She filmed for her show "Now is the Time". Meri and Jodie have been invited by Dan Peters to visit his family home/hotel in Branson, Missouri in the next few months to do two things:
1. To deepen Meri Crouley's relationship with this African Radio broadcaster.
2. To help Jodie Feldman establish international finance for her upcoming Aglow/ICL healing rooms in Mumbai, India.
We drove to Mbale with Pastor Luke and Pastor Patrick, visiting the source of the Nile River along the way.
Mbale, Uganda
Tuesday - September 21, 2004
Day of rest.
Typical Mbale Home Sites
Jodie and Meri stayed with local families in Mbale while in Uganda. Typical home sites in Mbale would include:
1. Chickens (hen and baby chicks) in the kitchen
2. Cooking by charcoal
3. Bucket baths
4. Outdoor bathrooms via a "pit latrine" (hole in the ground)
5. Great love and hospitality demonstrated
Wednesday - September 22, 2004
Pastors'/Aglow Conference
Jeremiah 29:11 "Therefore, I know the plans that I have for you. Plans not to harm you but to prosper you and to give you a hope and a future."
Apostolic Pastor Emmanuel and Imelda Bwayo (Aglow President, Uganda) planned this pastors' conference after the last ICL trip to Mbale in February of 2003.
There were many pastors and Aglow leaders in attendance from all over the surrounding areas and even including the mountain regions, as well. The whole church was filled to capacity and great unity was seen among all in attendance.
Jodie taught on the Army of God and Meri brought forth a prophetic message and much ministry came forth to the pastors. It was a very fruitful time of ministry.
Friday - September 24, 2004
Pastor Emmanuel's Mountain Ministry Outreach
In attendance were many orphans, widows, local mountain people, and also pastors and their congregations from surrounding churches. Also, Imelda Bwayo (the President of Aglow Uganda) brought forth an Aglow update and an invitation for women to join or participate in Aglow.
It took over an hour to get to this destination via a four-wheel drive truck that was filled to capacity with people.
Jodie spoke on "The Song of Solomon - God's Love Revealed" while Meri shared God's message of love with the orphans by relating the incredible testimony of her husband, Rick, who was an orphan God spared from destruction.
Sunday - September 26, 2004
Meri and Jodie preach at two different churches.
Jodie spoke at an A/G - Aglow church on the topic of the Army of God. A ministry time of separation unto the Lord followed. Meri brought a profound prophetic word to the congregation and the pastor.
Meri preached at a slum church (formerly known as the "Church Under the Mango Tree"). Meri spoke a message on Gideon's Army. While Meri was preaching, Pastor Luke filmed her for her television show. Ministry went forth afterwards with much impartation.
Afterwards, Pastor Luke and Janet prepared a fabulous dinner at their home. In attendance were Jodie, Meri, Pastor Patrick and Imelda Bwayo.
Sunday PM
Meeting with Pastor Emmanuel and also Imelda and Patrick Bwayo regarding a potential orphan and widow project.
Monday - September 27, 2004
Meri Crouley went to a church near the foot of the mountains with several local pastors including Pastor Emmanuel and Pastor Luke. Meri preached a message on David and Esther. Afterwards, she anointed the local pastors and invited those forward who had never received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The whole church came forward and all received the gift of tongues with many people getting slain under the power of God.
Monday PM
Jodie lead a bible study expressly for the purpose of teaching and training on the newly donated laptop computer and bible software.
Tuesday - September 28, 2004
The local family Jodie stayed with, Patrick and Rose, took their family and Meri and Jodie for a one-day tour in the mountains. We also visited Sipi Falls and their many business locations on the way home. It was a beautiful ending to an outstanding trip.
Observations
1. High level of Church/Pastoral Unity. This unity was taught and demonstrated constantly. We saw this as one of the Mbale region's most precious assets (Psalms 133 and Acts 4:32).
2. Large-scale orphan/widow and HIV-positive work (James 1:27).
3. There was great love and hospitality directed toward these missionaries. We were strongly encouraged to invite more missionaries (especially teachers) to follow.
Donations to Mbale
1. Boxes of concordances were donated to the area pastors (pictures to follow).
2. A laptop computer with brand new Bible software was donated. This is the first laptop and the only Bible software found in Mbale.
3. Worship music was donated (CDs and cassettes).
4. Billy Graham discipleship material was donated.
Mbale Offer
1. Pastor Emmanuel invited Meri Crouley to come back to Uganda and bring a large Youth Wave crusade to the area.
2. Pastor Emmanuel and Imelda Bwayo offered Jodie and Meri to do a large Women's Conference in the mountains. This would primarily be targeted towards women in leadership to travel down and impart to their congregations.
3. Jodie and Meri were offered trustee positions on the orphan and widow project board. This would require an annual return along with the corresponding annual seminar. Much prayer will be given in this direction as to the annual conference and trustee position.
Needs
1. Bible teachers.
2. Bible software and literature.
3. More computers for the local pastors!
4. Possible planting of a television station through Meri Crouley Ministries and "Now is the Time" television program.
We will be sending out pictures of this outstanding trip in the near future.
In closing, Jodie would like to thank God for His presence lavishly bestowed upon us during this trip. She also extends her heartfelt gratitude to each and every intercessor and prayer warrior who targeted this outreach to the nations. I believe this work touched many and, in time, will prove fruitful.
Jodie especially wishes to deeply thank Meri Crouley for her profound impartation to the Mbale area, casting vision to many and leaving a deep deposit throughout Uganda. Please pray a lavish blessing upon Meri Crouley, her ministry and family.
Love in Christ,
Jodie Feldman
