The highlight of ICL ministry in August was the Jodie’s outreach to the gay community, and here is her personal update…
Gay outreach: Outstanding!!!! I "saw" before we went in that there was an army of angels attending the place even before we went in. When we entered this business in the heart of the gay community, you could feel the presence of God. THAT is from your intercession! We had the honor to completely share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to pray for healing for our friend. She really appreciates all those who stand with her faithfully in prayer. She can do it because of your faithfulness…
Jodie was back in the US on the 30th of June, and had a month of rest and refreshing before she began circuiting again…reporting for ICL and getting invaluable training. July was mostly a month of rest and that is why we did not send out a Newsletter of ‘official’ work!!! Jodie was visiting family and friends whom she had not met in a long while. She reports having some “real fun times” and you will see from the pictures that she really did!!
Some of you have had personal letters from her and some have even had a chance to actually meet with her and catch up. She was supposed to rest for a whole month, but knowing Jodie she got going as soon as she could sit still no longer. She began reporting and training from mid July itself.
Jodie spent the last week of July in retreat, studying the IAHR Healing Rooms Material, and waiting on God at Shalom Retreat Center, in Kansas City. This was a time to soaking in the Lord’s presence and seeking His face for His will for the rest of the year. She then had a beneficial time with former missionary to India Isabel Paterson and this too was a time of learning for Jodie who is now getting prepared for her long term stay in India. Her ten-year visa came through and this was a time of great joy because a lot of prayer and uncertainty went into this time of waiting because Jodie had heard varied stories about the granting of this visa. She was so concerned that there would be a problem, but through it all the peace of God prevailed and she did not even have to fly to the Indian Embassy in Chicago, but she just sent her papers by post. Within ten days the ten-year visa reached her by post!!! That was a cool answer to prayer. Jodie learned that when the Lord opens a door NO one can stand in the way…
The beginning of August she flew out to Boston to be part of the John Paul Jackson’s Leadership conference where John Sanford too ministered, and this was a great blessing. Jodie says, ‘There is deep work going on here, both in the personal growth area, and for corporate work (India). Lot's of divine connections happening. At the ‘Partners’ meeting John Paul and John Sanford prayed over each of the partners. Jodie felt a kindred spirit here, as because Streams ministry does work in India and Africa.....which are also part of her sphere of ministry.
Following this she had a long stint of training with Healing Rooms, first at the IAHR ‘hub’ - Spokane Healing Rooms, and then at the San Deigo Healing Rooms. This too was an anointed time of deep ministry and learning with Dan and Sarah Sheplar and preparation for Jodie’s return to India. She is excitedly looking forward to using all this training on her return to India in mid-October.
Later in August she was involved with outreach with Set Free ministries which is a ministry that outreaches out to the homeless, drug and alcohol addicts and those in recovery homes.
On August 12, she reported on her time in India at the International House of prayer. On August 31, she has a time of sharing with the Calvary Temple Assemblies of God Church in San Deigo. This will be a time of giving God the glory for what He has done and is continuing to do in India!!
IAHR India Healing Rooms continues to grow and function well, with a really good set of committed technicians under the leadership of Pastor and Sheila Abraham. There have been several non believers come in and experience salvation in the past month. There have also been testimonies of healings as people have been ministered to.
Leon Fernandes has been working as full time secretary of the Mumbai site of India Healing Rooms and this means the administration is being taken care of smoothly.
Anne has been busy scouting around for ministry openings for Jodie’s return in October. There are prospective ministry openings among eunuchs and lepers in Mumbai, India.
