Judith Markovich, Office Communications
Originally from Tennessee, Judith Pauley Markovich blossomed as a music director and performer in New Jersey, NYC, and Ohio in the '70's. In 1979, a life-threatening attack on her health tore her from her growing career as co-principal clarinetist of a symphony orchestra and instructor at a university. Desperate for her life, she gave herself wholeheartedly to Jesus in a powerful encounter of His Spirit. Of this traumatic experience she says: "I've heard it said, 'Sometimes you have to be lying down to look up.'"
In December of 1980, Judith moved to the Kansas City area to complete her recovery. Contrary to the doctors' predictions that she would die or be a chemical cripple for the rest of her life, Jesus, full of compassion and grace, performed many miraculous healings in her life, all culminating in a call to a prophetic, evangelistic ministry.
In 1990, Judith began by serving as part of the pastoral teaching staff at Dominion Christian School and later taught future worship leaders at Grace Training Center, both subsidiaries of Metro Christian Fellowship under Mike Bickle. From 2001-2004, she gained business skills as a Sales Director for a Fortune 500 company. During these years, she married Richard Markovich and raised his three energetic sons, Mike, Matt and Jake.
At present, Judith happily composes music, teaches, writes, and is developing an improvisation program with the youth at Christ Triumphant Church in Lee’s Summit, MO where she produced her first Christian musical comedy, played on the worship team and served as Director of Special Events, 2004-2005.
Markovich holds a M.M. in performance from The Juilliard School and an Associate Degree in Theology from Grace Training Center. Her heart is to take God's unfathomable love and salvation to the poor and the needy with her artistic gifts of writing, music composition and music performance, and to empower others the same.
"Being able to use my artistic gifts and business experience to serve ICL is pure heaven on earth. I tell Jodie, 'Who wouldn't want to work for you!' Her encouragement and deep respect inspire me to soar beyond my limits."
Judith went on her first ICL outreach and came home exclaiming, "I was born for this!"
